It hears every word
Kineticlip listens to your clip and works out exactly when each word was said, not just what was said. That's what makes the captions snap onto your voice one word at a time. It all happens on your machine — on your graphics card if you have an NVIDIA one, on your processor if you don't.
AI finds the moment
An AI model that came with the app, running on your own PC, reads the transcript and picks the best window to clip: the ace, the clutch, the funny line. If it's slightly off, you drag the handles to fix it in the Review screen.
Cut, captioned, and waiting for you
It cuts the vertical Short, burns in the captions and writes a title and tags. You keep it or bin it on the Review screen; keeping it files it in your clips folder. If you've set up Discord, a copy lands in your server at the same time. Posting it on to YouTube or TikTok is a click once you've connected the account — both of those want you to create your own free developer key first, and Settings walks you through it.

Captions that land on the word
It writes down what you actually said and knows the exact moment each word lands, so captions pop one word at a time instead of sliding past in blocks. It already knows gaming words like wallbang, clutch and ace. (Runs Whisper on your own machine: the large model on an NVIDIA card, a smaller one on CPU-only PCs.)
AI Moment Picking
The AI reads what you said and finds the best window in your clip. It runs on your PC, no API key. Drag-to-adjust if you disagree; you stay in control of the final cut.
Finished clips land in your Discord
Set it up once — Discord gives you a link, you paste it in — and every finished clip appears in your server automatically, with its title and description, the moment it is made. Until you do that it stays off. Approving or skipping a clip happens in the app, on the Review screen.
Local By Default
Whisper, ffmpeg and the AI that picks your moment all run on your machine. No account, no API key, nothing uploaded. There is an optional cloud mode some people prefer for picking the moment: it is off unless you switch it on, it needs your own Anthropic or OpenAI key and they bill you for it, it shows you exactly what it would send first, and one click switches back.

What the watermark actually is
A small see-through "kineticlip.io" wordmark, with a soft shadow behind it. It appears in three or four places over the clip — down the left and right sides, at different heights, not just in the corners — and hops between them every few seconds. It is smaller than your captions and never sits on top of them. You will see it, and it is meant to be seen. But it is not a banner, it does not cover your gameplay, and it does not touch your captions.
That is the entire catch. There is no clip limit, no export limit, no trial timer, no resolution cap, no nag screen and no account. Kineticlip does not stop working, ever, with or without a key.
When you buy, Lemon Squeezy emails you a key. In Kineticlip, click the FREE · watermarked chip at the bottom of the left sidebar, press Enter license key, paste it in and press Activate. The next clip you export comes out clean. No reinstall, no restart. Clips you already exported keep the mark; re-export them if you want them clean.
Why it's this cheap
The AI clip tools I looked at were monthly subscriptions that also charged per clip or per “credit”, because they run the AI on rented cloud servers. Kineticlip runs that same kind of AI on your own computer, so there's no monthly bill and nothing charged per clip. A one-time $9.99 covers it.

Get Kineticlip v1.0.3
Kineticlip is free to use and every feature works. Clips you export carry a small Kineticlip watermark, and a licence key removes it: that is what buying one gets you, and it is the only difference. Kineticlip does its work on your own PC, so your recordings never leave your computer, and the clips you make are yours to publish, sell or monetise. It comes with no warranty, so keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
- Your browser may block the download or call it “unusual”. Choose Keep (in Chrome or Edge, open the downloads bar, click the ⋯ next to the file, then Keep).
- Run the file. Windows shows a blue box: Windows protected your PC. Click More info, then Run anyway.
- The publisher will show as Unknown. That is expected. Verify the file instead, using the SHA256 at the bottom of this section.
A code-signing certificate costs a few hundred dollars a year and I haven't taken that on yet. When I do, the warning goes away and this box goes with it.
Installer 195.1 MB. The first time you open it, it downloads ~7.9 GB more — that is the AI that does the work. It shows you the list and the sizes before it starts, and it only happens once.
