Kineticlip — Refund Policy

Version: 1.1 Last updated: 7 August 2026

The short version

If Kineticlip does not work for you, email Alexcrocrox@gmail.com within 30 days of buying it and you get your money back. You do not have to justify it.

What you bought is a licence key. Kineticlip itself is free and does everything without one — the key's only job is to take the watermark off the clips you export. So a refund puts the watermark back; it does not take the app away.

1. What is covered

A full refund of what you paid, within 30 days of your purchase, for any reason — including:

  • the key did not remove the watermark on your PC, or stopped removing it;
  • it will not install, or will not finish setting up on your PC;
  • it is too slow on your hardware (no supported NVIDIA GPU, so everything runs on the processor);
  • it does not do what you expected;
  • the clips it makes are not good enough for you;
  • you changed your mind.

2. How to ask

Email Alexcrocrox@gmail.com from the address you used to buy, with your order or receipt number. That is all that is needed. There is no form and no retention offer.

If something is broken and you would rather it were fixed than refunded, send a bug report first: Report a bug, at the bottom of the left sidebar in the app. It carries no keys, tokens or video — see the privacy policy §6. That is optional; asking for the refund does not depend on it.

3. How long it takes

We aim to approve or reply within 2 business days. The money is returned by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, to your original payment method. How long it then takes to appear is up to your bank — commonly a few working days.

Sales tax and VAT are refunded together with the price. Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record on your invoice and returns the tax with it, so you are refunded the full amount you were charged, not the amount minus tax.

4. What happens to your licence

When a refund is issued, your licence key is switched off at Lemon Squeezy, and with it your right to export without the watermark (EULA §13).

Kineticlip checks that key, so here is exactly what that does to the copy on your PC — it is less than most people expect:

  • The app carries on working, in full. Nothing is locked, no feature disappears, there is no clip limit, and nothing you have made is touched. You are back on the free version, which is the entire app.
  • New clips carry the watermark again. Kineticlip re-checks your key at most about once a week while it is open and online. At the first check after the refund it is told the key is off, and clips you export after that are marked — including one you recorded while you were still licensed but approve afterwards, because the file you publish is made at the moment you approve it.
  • Going offline afterwards does not keep it clean. That answer is written down on your PC the moment it arrives, so it survives a restart, a firewall and an unplugged cable.
  • A PC that never checks again marks its clips anyway. A successful check is trusted for 14 days and no longer, so the watermark returns on its own even if Kineticlip is never able to ask. Those same 14 days are what keep a paying customer's exports clean on a train or behind a company firewall.
  • Clips you already exported do not change. Anything you made while licensed stays watermark-free, and it is yours to keep, publish and monetise. We do not claw those back and could not if we wanted to.

You do not have to uninstall anything, and we are not asking you to. Kineticlip is free; carrying on with the free version after a refund is exactly what it is for. What ended is the paid part, and paying again is the only thing that brings it back.

5. The limits

  • After the window has closed, refunds are at our discretion. If the app is broken in a way that is our fault, tell us anyway — we would rather fix it or refund you than have you unhappy.
  • One refund per person. Buying again after a refund and asking for a second one is not covered.
  • Chargebacks. If you raise a chargeback instead of emailing us, your licence key is switched off immediately — §4 says what that does and does not do — and we may decline future sales to you. Emailing is faster and we will not argue.
  • Third-party costs are not refundable by us. Cloud AI mode runs on your own Anthropic or OpenAI key and that company bills you directly; we never see that money and cannot return it. Same for anything you spend on any other platform.

6. Your statutory rights

This policy is in addition to, and does not reduce, any rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you. In particular, if you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you may have a statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days, subject to the rules for digital content that is delivered immediately. Whatever this policy says, your statutory rights win where they are more generous.

That 14-day right can be set aside for digital content, but only where you expressly consented to immediate supply and acknowledged losing the right, at checkout. Whether that happened is decided by what Lemon Squeezy's checkout put in front of you; we do not write that page and we make no claim about it here. It changes nothing in practice: this policy gives you 30 days for any reason, which is longer than the 14 days either way. Wherever the two differ, you get whichever is better for you.
