Terms & Refund Policy

Kineticlip is free and complete without a key: every feature, unlimited clips, no time limit. What a licence buys is exports with no watermark, and that is the only difference between the two. Free exports carry a small see-through "kineticlip.io" wordmark, with a soft shadow behind it. It appears in three or four places over the clip — down the left and right sides, at different heights, not just in the corners — and hops between them every few seconds. It is smaller than your captions and never sits on top of them. Nothing is locked, no clip count runs out, and the app never stops working.

A one-time licence key for Kineticlip, for your own personal use on up to 3 computers you own or control. The licence is perpetual: you pay once, it does not expire, there is no subscription and no renewal, and updates are included for as long as we publish them.

Clips you make are yours. You can monetise them, publish them anywhere, and we take no cut and claim no rights in them. The full terms are in the licence agreement.

If Kineticlip doesn’t work for you, email Alexcrocrox@gmail.com within 30 days of buying it and you get your money back. You don’t have to justify it. Send it from the address you bought with, and you’ll get an answer within 2 business days.

Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy back to your original payment method. A refund ends your licence: your key stops being valid, and Kineticlip goes back to marking your exports the next time it checks. The app itself keeps working. There is no lockout and no kill switch, and clips you already made are yours to keep, watermark or not. Full detail: refund policy.

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you also have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw. Our 30 days is longer and is offered on top of it, so in practice you always have the longer window.

Payments and licence-key delivery are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. They are the seller of record for the transaction, they collect and remit any applicable VAT or sales tax, and they email you your key after purchase. We never see or store your card details.

Your licence covers up to 3 computers you own or control. The count is kept by Lemon Squeezy, which issues the keys and refuses the fourth activation. Reinstalling on a replacement machine is fine. It is a limit on watermark-free installs, not on installs: Kineticlip is free, so you can put it on as many of your machines as you like.

There is no button that releases a machine, so a rebuilt PC or a laptop you sold still holds one of your 3. Email Alexcrocrox@gmail.com with your order number and we’ll free one up. That is normal, not a breach.

Kineticlip checks your key when you enter it and re-checks it about once a week. The check decides one thing only: whether your exports carry the watermark. It never blocks the app, and if you are offline it keeps exporting clean for two weeks from the last successful check, then goes back to marking until it can check again.

Please don’t share or resell keys.

The installer is not code-signed. A code-signing certificate is an annual cost we have not taken on yet, so Windows has no publisher name to show you and SmartScreen will warn about it — on the paid 1.0 release, not just during testing.

What you will see, in order: your browser may block the download (choose Keep), and then Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” box. Click More info, then Run anyway. The SHA256 checksum of the exact file we publish is printed on the download section of the home page, if you want to verify it before running it.

Kineticlip runs on your own PC. Your recordings never leave your computer: we have no server for them to go to, and no account to tie them to. Finished clips go only where you send them: to YouTube or TikTok when you click publish, and to your own Discord server automatically if you set up Discord notifications, which is off until you do. The only thing that leaves on its own is a check for a new version, a few times a day, which asks our website what the latest one is and sends nothing about you. There is an optional setting that sends the words spoken in a clip, as text, to Anthropic or OpenAI, whichever you pick, so it can choose the highlight and write the title. Your video is never sent, only the words. It is off until you switch it on and tick the box that says what leaves, it names the company before you agree, and you can switch back to your own PC in one click.

There is no server here that sees your clips. The full list of everything that does leave your computer — the first-launch downloads, the update check, the licence check and a bug report if you send one — is in the privacy policy, with a column saying whether you can switch each one off.

Kineticlip is published by Alex R., an individual in New York State, United States. These terms and the licence agreement are governed by the laws of New York, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction — non-exclusive meaning you keep any right you have to bring a claim where you live.

If the app is misbehaving, click Report a bug at the bottom of the left sidebar in Kineticlip. It sends your message and, if you leave it, your email address, along with the app version, your Windows version and an anonymous install id. Tick the box to attach the tail of the logs — you can read them on screen before they go. It never sends your API keys, your sign-ins, your videos or your clip titles.

These terms may change as the product evolves. The documents below carry their own version number and date, so you can always see which version you agreed to.
